Harvest Festival 2009

On Friday 2nd of October we had our annual Harvest Festival Assembly. This year we were joined by Reverend Trevor Filtness, Reverend Simon Ford and Reverend Lynne Comerford.

Reverend Filtness talked about sustainable farming. Our choir performed Sting's Fields of Gold and we had an instrumental accompaniment for the Harvest Samba hymn. Year 5 read prayers that they had written.

All food donations are going to Age Concern in Fratton. Fresh goods will be used in next week’s lunches which included vegetables from our school garden. The tins and packet food will make up Christmas Hampers for elderly residents.
